A walk around Stuttgart, November 2011

I was in Germany last week – a short 3-day trip to Stuttgart and Olpe (a small town about 60 kms from Cologne). I had a whopping 1 1/2 hours free in Stuttgart, so I went for a quick walk towards the city center – it was a cold but exceptionally beautiful day, and by the time I’ve got to the main pedestrian street – Koenigstrasse – I also had really good lighting from the afternoon sun.

So, here’s the first batch of photos. To start, a car park gate just across the hotel:

Next, a few architecture and pattern things:

Next, the side entrance of the main railway station (sounds better in German – Hauptbahnhof 🙂 ):

Then, an alien invasion on Koenigstrasse:

And to finish, a postcard-ish view of the Stuttgart Neue Schloss new palace:

That’s it for today, see you next week!
